When reading the Bible for the first time I recommend to Start Reading the book of John then the book of Matthew all the way to the book of Jude, then you can go to the old testament and start reading Genesis to the book of Malachi, then you can continue to the last book of the Bible the book of Revelation.

When you finish reading the whole Bible then you start Studying the Bible, it should be your lifestyle.

When reading or studying the Bible for the first time I don’t recommend reading any commentary books for now. Commentaries are people’s comments and theories on the Bible, sometimes they are not always right.
It is recommended to use the Bible to interpret the Bible, by cross-reference scripture with scripture.
